Testimonials
I’m so grateful for the families and professionals who have trusted me to be part of their journey. Their kind words mean the world and reflect the heart of why I do this work: to passionately support children as they grow, learn, and thrive.
Lauren is a fabulous, talented, and insightful OT who understands the complexities of children with challenges. Lauren spent many years working with my child who had issues with life skills and appropriate play, challenges with processing information and self regulation. Lauren was instrumental in helping my son understand his environment, she assisted with adapting activities in order for my child to achieve success both at school and at home and was open to collaborate with other members of our treatment team. She was able to quickly connect to my child and was able to structure his sessions in a way that was enjoyable and playful! I am very appreciative for all the time and support she offered both my son and myself.

When my daughter’s school suggested we supplement with private OT I was frustrated. I felt like in the past we had sent her to OT gyms and seen little to no result, but when we found Lauren everything changed. She was able to provide services in the home, which was the first game changer. We were able to target areas of concern in real time, and in a setting free from the distractions of additional children, noise, and chaos. Lauren understood the nuances of my daughter’s diagnosis, and was able to very quickly form a bond with her, something that is foundational for any type of therapy to work. It has now been a year and we have seen more progress, even in the first few months, then we did with years at an OT gym. We are happily continuing to see Lauren as she grows due to the fact that new challenges always come up with age and expectations. She’s a fantastic, personable and professional therapist who deeply cares for not only the children she serves, but also their families.

Lauren worked with my 3 year old son with autism. She had an innate ability to form a meaningful connection with him in no time. She became an integral part of our family, not just our therapy team, because of her unique personality. My husband and I trusted her with not only our son’s care but with our daughter’s as well because of her dedication, trustworthiness, flexibility, and honesty. My son is now 30 and Lauren is still a part of our family. I witnessed her develop into the most devoted therapist, mother, partner, and role model.

We had the pleasure of working with Lauren for two years and trusted her implicitly. She beautifully combines her OT expertise with her unique ability to get to know your child and understand their OT needs to establish a clear and effective plan. This not only delivers results, but brings joy and confidence to the children she works with. Lauren is not just an OT specialist, she’s truly a partner and a trusted part of your child’s “team”.

I love Lauren. She is so kind. She taught me about our zones. It’s nice to have sessions with her. She makes it fun. Thank you for being my OT.

As a school educator and mom of a one year old to be, I was so excited to attend Lauren Baker’s workshop for ‘Understanding Emotions and Developing Strategies for Success.’ Within just two quick hours, I left feeling empowered and hopeful to move forward working with children in a variety of settings. Lauren explored and described the many ways to support self-regulation with children, with real life examples that helped us all feel more connected and understood. I learned how to nurture these skills at home, school, and everyday experiences, like birthday parties and more. I am grateful to Lauren for sharing her expertise and I left having so many tools to better understand children’s emotional experiences to support growth and build confidence! I only hope to work more with Lauren again soon.
